Product Overview

The Chord DI-A1 is a compact and versatile active DI box designed to convert high-impedance signals from instruments or line-level sources into low-impedance balanced outputs for direct connection to mixing consoles or amplifiers. Its built-in buffer amplifier ensures signal integrity over long cable runs, making it ideal for both studio and live sound environments. The DI-A1 features a 3-way pad switch for input level attenuation, a ground lift selector with float and lift options to eliminate hum, and multiple power options including phantom power, 9V battery, or 12V DC adaptor. Housed in a rugged metal enclosure, it delivers reliable performance with minimal noise and maximum flexibility.
  • Ideal for live sound, studio recording, and installations requiring clean signal conversion from instruments or line-level sources
  • Active DI box with built-in buffer amplifier for signal integrity over long cable runs
  • Input: 6.3mm jack (unbalanced, Hi-Z)
  • Outputs: XLRM (balanced, Low-Z) and 6.3mm jack thru (unbalanced, Hi-Z) for parallel signal routing
  • Pad Switch: Selectable attenuation levels at 0dB, -20dB, and -40dB to prevent overloading mixer or amp inputs
  • GND: Fully grounded, FLOAT: Isolates signal ground from chassis, retains RF/mains filter and LIFT: Fully isolates signal ground without filter
  • Noise Reduction: Integrated RF and mains hum filter
  • Power Options: 9V PP3 battery (not included), 12V DC adaptor (200mA min., optional) and 9V to 52V phantom power via XLR input
  • Indicators: Low battery LED
  • Input Impedance: 100k Ohms
  • Output Impedance: 600 Ohms
