What is Amendment 3?
The third amendment to BS7671 (Wiring Regulations) now requires consumer units installed in domestic premises to be manufactured of non-combustible material or located in a cabinet or enclosure made of non-combustible material.
Remember:
✓ | All installations must comply with BS7671 (Wiring Regulations). |
✓ | Ensure your all-metal consumer unit enclosures feature no external plastic parts. |
✓ | The installation of a consumer unit must be checked and certified by a registered competent person before the supply is connected. |
✓ | The number of breakers required will depend on the nature of the premises and must be in accordance with BS7671 (Wiring Regulations). The Pro Elec range caters for all combinations. |
