- Utilises a four wire serial interface to communicate with the controller chip via the Arduino hardware SPI pins (D10-13)
- USB port supplies 5V like a standard port
- The shield takes power from the Arduino Vin pin, and power is regulated to both 5V and 3.3V on the shield
